Thornycroft Road Run Text
We are excited to be hosting this year's Hampshire Road Run in the grounds of Milestones Museum this summer. On Sunday 16 August, vintage vehicles will be gathering on the field outside Milestones.
The Thornycroft Society and Basingstoke Car Club will be visiting the museum grounds to display their collection of classic and vintage vehicles. Visitors are welcome to stroll among the vehicles, view them up close and speak to the owners to learn about these fascinating vehicles.
The commercial vehicles will display their vehicles on the field from 8am, before departing on a Road Run through the Hampshire countryside at approximately 10am and returning at approximately 2pm.
For refreshments and food, visitors are welcome to join us at the Rooftops cafe.

For enthusiasts of historic transport, our collection features more than 40 beautifully restored vehicles, displayed as they would have appeared in everyday use. Discover everything from a steam locomotive and traction engines to vintage cars, lorries and bicycles, alongside the only surviving Portsmouth tram.
Visitors can also enjoy music from singer Sofia Belafice in the morning on the Museum bandstand.
