Join us at Milestones Museum for a full day of immersive activities in celebration of Armed Forces Day 2026. The event will bring the 1940s era to life through interactive displays and period-inspired experiences.
Daytime activities are included with standard museum admission.

- RAF War Room Experience
Step into a detailed operational setting where key wartime battles are planned on a model inspired by the bunker used by Winston Churchill, recreated with impressive historical accuracy.
- Talk: The Life and Music of Glenn Miller
Delivered by our volunteer Ray, this engaging talk explores the story and musical legacy of one of the era’s most iconic bandleaders.

A display developed by Dr Alex Walker which provides an insightful look at wartime fashion, covering both workwear and leisure styles of the 1940s.

A special gathering of local military and veterans’ organisations, including Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA), Royal British Legion (RBL), and Basingstoke Veterans Club.
