Visit Milestones to step back in time to the 1940s and take part in the fun activities for all ages. Enjoy re-enactments, make do and mend displays, food tasting, music and dancing!

Were you born in the 1940s? Visit Milestones for free for the duration of our celebratory week! Just show your ID on arrival.*

In addition to the demonstrations and activities, you can enjoy World War II themed food at the cafe such as corned beef hash and spam fritters as well as our usual menu items. Did you know that Fish and Chips were not rationed during the war?

11:30 - Ministry of Food Demonstration

How to make the most of your rations including tastings for the brave!

13:00 - Mend and Make do in 1942

Extend the life of your clothes and make your cosmetics last using household items.

Weekend 4-5 June - Live Music

Enjoy live performances on the bandstand or join in with a sing along in the pub accompanied by our pub pianist.

Look out for Johnny Wheeler Dodgy Dealer trying to sell his contraband goods of nylons and chocolates!

We'll also be getting in the spirit of the jubilee with a jubilee trail around our decorated cobbled streets and special coronation cup cakes in the cafe.

Why not join in the fun by coming in 1940s costume!
