1940s Sweet Shop, Milestones Pier, Gift Shop and Goody Bags

Please let us know when booking if you would like your pupils to enrich their visit with any of the following options:

Gift shop - our award-winning museum gift shop stocks a wide range of quality themed products, from pocket money purchases to dolls houses and pedal cars.

Goody bags – £3.00 per bag. This contains a Milestones pencil, eraser and postcard. These can be paid for on the day or invoiced after your visit. Please note that if paying on the day, we accept payment for the total amount only by cash or card. We regret that we are unable to accept multiple individual payments due to time constraints.

1940s sweetshop – £1.80 for one ‘ration’. This is a replica ration book which can be used to receive 2 ounces (approximately 57 grams) of sweets in the 1940s sweetshop. Term-time opening hours 11am-4pm subject to change – please check on the day to confirm times. These can be paid for on the day or invoiced separately following your visit. Please note that if paying on the day, we accept payment for the total amount only by cash or card. We regret that we are unable to accept multiple individual payments due to time constraints.

Milestones Pier and Penny Arcade – an old-fashioned fun ‘seaside pier’ boardwalk including vintage penny slot machines, displays on the history of piers and the development of arcade games over the decades. £1.25 for 10 old pennies for use on older machines; more modern machines are 50p a go. Please note that due to the vintage nature of these machines, some of the content may be deemed unsuitable for young children so adult supervision is required. These can be paid for on the day by card at the change machines or invoiced after your visit. If you require invoicing, please pre-book the quantities of old pennies and 50ps that you would like, and we will pre-bag these for you to collect on arrival.
